The Gin Margarita

Enjoy this Gin twist on a traditional Margarita cocktail recipe courtesy of Piston Distillery, Worcester.

Ingredients:

  • 45ml Gin

  • 30 ml Cointreau

  • 100ml freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 5ml sugar syrup (50/50 caster sugar to boiling water)

  • For Serving: lime, ice and coarse salt

Steps:

  1. Using a Martini glass, run fresh lime around the edge and tip glass upside down in sprinkling salt to coat the rim

  2. Add into a cocktail shaker the Gin, Cointreau, lime juice and sugar syrup and top with ice

  3. Shake the shaker until frosted on the outside.

  4. Strain into Martini glass and garnish the glass with a lime wedge.
